Set in a semi open world areas of individual hubs with RPG elements, the game follows loosely the plot of the Dragon Ball Z anime series with the player assuming the role of protagonist Goku. Other characters such as Piccolo, Vegeta, Gohan (young, teenage, adult), Future Trunks, Vegito & Gotenks have been announced as playable characters.

The game is not considered open world with one massive sandbox but instead divided into individual hubs that will be locked until reaching a certain point in the story, only then will these areas be unlocked for exploration. These individual hubs are not small and the openness of these areas gives all the more reason to have flight as a mode of travel with both the verticality and area being impressive. Some areas are full of life and cities whilst others are more barren and devoid of life.

Flying will be a huge aspect of the game and the main form of travel to objectives and other parts of the map unless running at super speeds is preferred, the nimbus cloud will also be a mode of transport and for the Ultimate Edition the Tao Pai Pai Pillar will be available.

During general gameplay and flight the game handles like a typical third-person game, when fighting the perspective changes to an over-the shoulder fighting game. Fighting is a mix between typical punches, kicks, dodging and ki-blasts with special moves and combos involved.

Outside of combat you are free to explore the different locations, collect minerals with ki-blasts and fish. The emphasis on RPG progression sets this game apart from typical fighting games, Goku will not start with his most powerful moves with them only being unlocked through the skill tree and progression through the story. There are five different ways to power up; eating, battling, finding ki-orbs and creating communities. Linking characters to community leaders of different types can maximise experience gain. Orbs found in the world through exploration are the main currency for progressing the skill tree. Meals are important as foraging for fruit or crafting dishes at a cook can incur permanent stat increases. By fighting in battles experience points will be gained, choose your battles and make sure your character is at the adequate level before engaging.

God of War (commonly referred to as God of War 4 or God of War PS4 is a third-person action-adventure video game in development by Santa Monica Studio and to be published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. God of War 4 is available for the PlayStation 4 (PS4) console. It will be the eighth installment in the God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010's God of War III. The story is a new direction for the series, as it will be loosely based on Norse mythology all previous games were based on Greek mythology. Series protagonist Kratos returns as the main character, and he now has a son named Atreus. Kratos acts as a mentor and protector to his son, and has to master the rage that has driven him for many years.

Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. It is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Interactive Entertainment in November 2019, and for Microsoft Windows by 505 Games in 2020. The title of the game is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon.

Death Stranding is set in an open world, which also includes multiplayer functions. Kojima compared the genre to how his earlier game Metal Gear – now considered to be a stealth game – was called an action game during its release because the stealth genre was not considered to exist at the time.

People have created "Walls" and become accustomed to living in isolation. Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the "Strand" or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or "Strands" with other players around the globe. Through your experience playing the game, I hope you'll come to understand the true importance of forging connections with others.

The game is set within the fictional state of San Andreas, which is based on Southern California. The single-player story is told through three player-controlled protagonists whom the player switches between—Michael, Trevor and Franklin—and the story follows their efforts to plan and execute six large heists to accrue wealth for themselves. Michael is a retired professional bank robber, who after making a sweetheart deal with FIB, returned to the life of crime. Trevor is the loose cannon in this story, who is also a long time best friend of Michael's and a hot-head psychopath as well. Detroit: Become Human is an adventure game developed by Quantic Dream and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, released worldwide on 25 May 2018. The Walking Dead Video Game is an episodic video game based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead graphic novel series. The game is under development by Telltale Games.

Telltale will release "The Walking Dead" in five episodes to tell a full story beginning in spring of 2012. The first episode of the adventure game will debut on April 24, 2012, for PC, Mac, and The PlayStation Network, and on April 27, for Xbox Live Arcade. The first episode of The Walking Dead will be available to download and play in late April. Episode 1 is available immediately upon purchasing the full season with the remaining episodes being delivered monthly thereafter. There are five chapters to the story which focuses on Lee Everett, an original character created specifically for the video game. Lee finds himself in the back of a squad car crashed on the side of the road. Lee has to solve a number of real-world puzzles—such as unlocking a car—in order to escape the zombie invasion. Lee decides to travel to the Deep South. Along the way he meets a little girl named Clementine, who was abandoned by her parents, and cowering in a treehouse. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is the eleventh main installment in the Assassin's Creed series developed by Ubisoft. The game is set in Ancient Greece, and will feature RPG elements, including dialogue options and the ability to select between a male or female protagonist. The player takes control of a Spartan rejected by their family, making the journey from outcast mercenary to legendary hero, learning the truth about their past along the way.

Both Alexios and Kassandra start the game as a mercenary and a descendant of the Spartan king Leonidas I. They inherit his broken spear, which is forged into a blade to become a weapon that grants the player special abilities in combat. The game uses a skill tree system that allows the player to unlock new abilities. The three skill trees include "hunter", which improves player character's archery, "warrior" which puts emphasis on combat, and "assassin" which focuses on stealth. This replaces the system used in Origins, which granted the player a series of passive abilities.

Hitman 2 is an upcoming stealth video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It will be the seventh entry in the Hitman video game series and is the sequel to the 2016 game Hitman. The game is scheduled to be released on 13 November 2018.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 is an online action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. The game will be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X.

Played from a third-person perspective, the game takes place in Washington D.C. 7 months after its predecessor, in which a civil war between survivors and villainous bands of marauders breaks out. In the game, players can cooperate with each other to complete objectives. The game will also feature raids, which can be completed by up to 8 players.

The Division 2 takes place in Washington D.C., seven months after the events of the Dollar Flu in the wintery New York City that were portrayed in the first game. The epidemic has spread to Washington D.C. as well, accompanied with riots and breakdown of social order and structure, which is exacerbated by an ongoing heatwave. A civil war has broken out in the area between the survivors and murderous bandits and factions that are attempting to take control.

Militant factions like the True Sons have established a strangle hold over the civil war-struck capital, led by former Joint Task Force member Antwon Ridgeway. To curb the ongoing chaos and to re-establish order, Directive 51 is enacted in Washington D.C., following which Division agents are sent to the capital, tasked with working alongside the civilian militia to overcome the enemy factions and recapture the capital.

The game's weapons, characters, gear and abilities are customizable. As new weapons are unlocked, players have the ability to share them with their teammates. Battlefront will not feature iron sights.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch and Raven Software for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and Microsoft Windows. It is set in the early 1980s and is a direct sequel to the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. Announced on August 26th, 2020, the game is set to be released on November 13th of the same year.

The Campaign mode of Black Ops Cold War was designed and developed by Raven Software which was already designing a campaign based on the Cold War before Treyarch took the project over. Borderlands 3 is an upcoming action role-playing first-person shooter video game that is the sequel to 2012's Borderlands 2, and the fourth main entry in the Borderlands series. Developed by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games, Borderlands 3 is expected to released on 13 September 2019 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A Google Stadia port has been confirmed for a later release date.

Some time after Handsome Jack's death and the fall of Hyperion, the game's antagonists Troy and Tyreen Calypso learn of other Vaults beyond the planet Pandora, and form a violent cult named the "Children of the Vault" to gain possession of them. Lilith, one of the player characters from the first Borderlands game, recruits the player's new "Vault Hunter" character to help stop the Calypso twins. Many characters from previous Borderlands games are set to return, including those from the spin-off game Tales from the Borderlands.

Borderlands 3 is a loot-driven first-person shooter. Players, either playing alone or in parties up to four people, make a character from one of four classes available, and take on various missions given out by non-playable characters (NPCs) and at bounty boards to gain experience, in-game monetary rewards, and reward items. Players can also gain these items by defeating enemies throughout the game. As the player gains level, they gain skills points to allocate across a skill tree. The game introduces four new playable characters: Amara, a "Siren" who summons ethereal fists; Moze, a young "Gunner" who rides the mecha Iron Bear; Zane, an "Operative" with a variety of gadgets; and FL4K, a robot "Beastmaster" who summons creatures to aid in fights. Esposito continued that Antón is "trying to empower his son to take up his mantle and really embrace ideas that would allow him to see that soon he will probably be the next leader in this country".
