We traveled to Los Angeles California a few weeks ago to meet Richard Browning from Gravity Industries. He's built a 1000hp jet suit that allows you to fly around like Iron Man. The grappling hook gun can shoot distances of up to 150', using 3mm kevlar rope which is rated for 2000lbs! It is lightweight, and probably the smallest grappling hook gun ever created. In our next video we will be finishing our prototype 8HP electric superwinch that will allow us ascend buildings faster than anything commercially available! Building steps (expand the description):
-We got 2x 2.7kW motors (https://goo.gl/2ppF6U), 2 ESCs (https://goo.gl/VZiIjg), batteries (http://goo.gl/pkSN00) and a servo tester (https://goo.gl/istRF8) from HobbyKing
-We designed the system and then machined the parts using our Tormach PCNC 440. https://www.tormach.com
-The revolving spool was machined by Peter on his 5 axis CNC machine. Check out his video to see it machined https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYxXY0_hgU4
-The motors are run in parallel with a timing pulley to keep them in sync. Note that you cannot run 2 brushless motors from 1 ESC. We are using 2 ESCs controlled by the same signal. The motors turn a worm and spur gear with a 20:1 reduction ratio. The motors run up to 10,000rpm meaning the output shaft is running at 500rpm
-We designed a custom revolving spool to ascend the rope. The rope wraps around the drive spool and an idler spool, 4 times to prevent slipping. If you wrap a rope around a driven shaft, it will wander to 1 side and then tangle which is why we used 2. The 2 spools have grooves to guide the rope along the wraps. Additionally, the drive spool has notches within the grooves in order to grip the rope better. An idling bearing pinches the rope to the drive spool on the output in order to keep the tension.
-3d printed covers were made on our Taz 6 (http://amzn.to/2lvxtCz) with the new Moarstruder (http://amzn.to/2kXKxCE) for a quicker print.
-All parts were printed using PETG from fillaments.ca http://filaments.ca/?rfsn=362416.42f3f
-The winch assembly was bolted onto a custom weldment on the gun.

A unique backflip tutorial that uses both video examples, and instructional text. We teach Sil how to do a backflip (who has only ever done them on trampolines before), and you can follow the steps one by one, to see what you are doing wrong!
NOTE: Turning your palms to the outside in the set is personal preference - Some people like to do it this way, as it can help you lock your shoulders when you jump up, but it is not necessary.
Also this tutorial is designed for trickers or other athletic people interested in learning how to do a basic backflip - if you are a gymnast you should learn the absolute "gymnast" way at a gymnastics centre (focuses alot more on form)
Finally, this tutorial was created through the knowledge of many people, I do not claim to be a professional coach who knows everything about backflips. We created this tutorial and the concepts in it from just dinking around at open nights at various gyms club. When we first learned backflips we were told to just try it, and thats what happened - it was from there that we learned how to spot and do them better.
