The Kappa is a mythological creature from Japanese Mythology and folklore. Though the kappa can also be referred to a type of Yokai, the kappa was believed to live nearby the rivers, ponds or any type of bodies of water, and therefore was often called the yokai from the rivers or the monster of the water from Japanese mythology.

Though having a humanoid body, the kappa has remarkable features such as the shell of a turtle on its back, the scaly skin of a reptile which color vary. but what really stands out about this creature is the hollow structure on top of his head called the ''sara''.

Why do we care about the gods and heroes of Greek myth? Why do these strange old stories mean so much to us? Together we’ll grapple with the theory behind myth itself and attempt answers to questions like why planets are named after gods, where myth comes from, why some stories are more interesting than others (is this true?) and whether or not a myth has to be false to be a myth. We will also look at the difference between myth, folktale, and legend, and the problems with interpreting myths in an oral tradition.

This video on Chinese mythology explains the Chinese creation myth starting from the first god Pangu. In this video, many creation myths have been fused, when often Pangu would be its own answer to the “Creation” question, and Nüwa would be another. With the creation of the humans, the brother and sister myth often does not co-exist with Nüwa, and in some versions, they simply do one test and everything works out. Another version, not included here, has a giant snake give birth to all animals and then finally humans. This said, creation myths are not a dominating aspect of Chinese Mythology and there are not as many records of them as there are of other areas (like the creation of the immortals and various arts or ideas) – it seems like the origin of the human race and Earth was not as important of a question to the ancient Chinese.

Did Technology Kill Modern Mythology as Joseph Campbell (the creator of the Hero's Journey) claims? Is modern myth best represented in the writing of Marvel superheroes like Loki, Thor, Odin, and even characters like Wanda? What about DC comics? And most importantly, do you want to see modern myth explained? Of course you do.

Well I'm here to argue that not only is Joseph Cambell wrong, but superheros do not count as modern myth. And if that wasn't spicy enough, I also believe that modern myth is alive and well, and that you can find it in films like Blade Runner 2049.
