To be a caretaker in relationships means that you are believing your partner is a victim and can't be happy, function well, or survive without you. To stop being a caretaker in relationships doesn't mean you stop caring about your partner, it just means you act intuitively instead of out of arrogance, victimizing, and fearing your partner will leave if you don't take care of them.

We are all unconsciously taught many ideas of what will make us happy, give us safety, or make us worthy. These collective beliefs (programs) determine how we spend our time and energy in life. When these programs aren't our truth, then we are unconsciously spending our life pursuing desires that aren't truly what we desire.
