Sumerian Mythology Explained

In the ancient sumerian records written in clay tablets using the cuneiform writing system, that they invented, we are introduced to the oldest creation myth, ancient gods known as the anunnaki gods, the sumerian flood myth, the epic of gilgamesh, and also the oldest mythical creatures which then gave birth to the oldest mythology in the world. The Sumerian culture heavily influenced the later peoples of Mesopotamia such as the Akkadians, Babylonians and Assyrians, they had a very rich culture, powerful kings, impressive cities-states with their ziggurat temples dedicated to the gods and spoke a language that was never deciphered and which the origin is a complete mystery.
