The city is declared an open city, and the enemy holds control for over four years until August 1944. While much has been documented about the hardships faced by the French under occupation, little is known about the perspective of the German soldiers. What were their living conditions like? Approximately 90% of the emeralds sold globally come from Colombia. While the official market is regulated, a black market has developed that is largely unchecked. This illegal sector is more lucrative than the gold or diamond trade. A journalist in Bogota is uncovering the truth behind this illicit industry, and the “esmeralderos”, or emerald traders, who sell their wares on the streets. The emeralds come primarily from Muzo, located in the north of the country. The ten nearby mines supply 75% of the world’s emeralds and are renowned for producing the highest quality gems.

We infiltrate the Russian Neo-Nazi group “Autonomous Nationalists”, one of most brutal right-wing, extremist groups in the world. Shocking footage shows them attacking foreigners, setting fire to buildings and training to use knives.
Even more worrying are the ties between Autonomous Nationalists and other extremist groups in Germany and Europe. One member describes how they would regularly train with Neo-Nazis from Europe. “There was a real program with target practice . We showed the Europeans how to use our weapons most effectively and exchanged experiences”
In candid interviews, members are quick to praise the Third Reich. “I support the theory of the supremacy of the white race and the superiority of the Russian people” states Dimitry. Another describes how he attacks foreigners, who he blames for spreading ’drugs and death’.
And it’s not only men attracted to this dangerous ideology. At the training camp, we film some of the women attending and learn how they were recruited. We also see how the neo-Nazis use seemingly harmless web pages and youth affine topics to spread their radical views.

If any story is only as good as the antagonist, does that mean a good villain is even more important than the hero? We tend to think so! So what are the elements that build up to a perfect big bad? Is it an air of inevitability? A great plan? Just plain scary? All of the above? Let’s hash it out with CineFix's Top 10 Movie Villains of All Time.

From horror movie slashers stalking the final girl to good guys doing bad guy things for good guy reasons, a villain's motives are of course unlimited. What sets the truly great ones apart from their mustache twirling counterparts is, our favorite thing here at CineFix, a complicated stew of characteristics. From a tragic backstory like Lotso Huggin’ Bear from Toy Story 3, to the unstoppable killing machine AI in The Terminator, to villains that are just SO hateable like Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator or Mr. Potter in It’s a Wonderful Life, to the charming and relatable wing of villainy with The Avengers Loki or Bodhi from Point Break.

The point is, what we love about villains is an evil and entertaining cocktail of traits that are ALL worth diving into.
