L.A. Noire is a third-person neo noire crime video game developed by Team Bondi in conjunction with Rockstar Games and published by Rockstar Games. L.A. Noire is set in a nearly perfectly recreated 8 square miles of Los Angeles of 1947, with players being given an open-ended challenge to solve a series of crime and murder mysteries. As the title suggests, the game draws heavily from both plot and aesthetic elements of film noir - stylistic films from the 1940s and 1950s that shared similar visual styles and themes including crime, sex and moral ambiguity and were often shot in black and white with harsh, low-key lighting. The game uses a distinctive colouring-style as well as the choice of black-and-white in homage to the visual style of film noir. The post-war setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference the detective films of the '40s, such as corruption and drugs, with a classical jazz soundtrack.

Amid the post-war boom of Hollywood's Golden Age, Cole Phelps is an LAPD detective thrown headfirst into a city drowning in its own success. Corruption is rampant, the drug trade is exploding, and murder rates are at an all-time high. In his fight to climb the ranks and do what's right, Phelps must unravel the truth behind a string of arson attacks, racketeering conspiracies and brutal murders, battling the L.A. underworld and even members of his own department to uncover a secret that could shake the city to its rotten core.

Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. It is set to be released for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Interactive Entertainment in November 2019, and for Microsoft Windows by 505 Games in 2020. The title of the game is a reference to the cetacean stranding phenomenon.

Death Stranding is set in an open world, which also includes multiplayer functions. Kojima compared the genre to how his earlier game Metal Gear – now considered to be a stealth game – was called an action game during its release because the stealth genre was not considered to exist at the time.

People have created "Walls" and become accustomed to living in isolation. Death Stranding is a completely new type of action game, where the goal of the player is to reconnect isolated cities and a fragmented society. It is created so that all elements, including the story and gameplay, are bound together by the theme of the "Strand" or connection. As Sam Porter Bridges, you will attempt to bridge the divides in society, and in doing create new bonds or "Strands" with other players around the globe. Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the fourteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the first one to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008. The game is set in European theatre of the war. Marie's brother, Klaus, has taken part in the research of Barbarossa's treasure, working with Doctor Peter Straub (Udo Kier). As a Tarnished — exiles from the Lands Between who lost the Ring's grace — summoned back after the Shattering, players must traverse the realm to ultimately find all the Great Runes, restore the Elden Ring, and become the Elden Lord.

Throughout the game, players will encounter non-player characters (NPCs) and enemies alike, including the demigods who rule each main area and will serve as the game's main bosses.

Combat in Elden Ring relies heavily on character-building elements found in previous Soulsborne games, such as calculated, close-ranged melee-based combat with the use of skills, magic abilities, as well as blocking and dodging mechanics. Elden Ring will introduce mounted combat and a stealth system.

Assassin's Creed: Odyssey is the eleventh main installment in the Assassin's Creed series developed by Ubisoft. The game is set in Ancient Greece, and will feature RPG elements, including dialogue options and the ability to select between a male or female protagonist. The player takes control of a Spartan rejected by their family, making the journey from outcast mercenary to legendary hero, learning the truth about their past along the way.

Both Alexios and Kassandra start the game as a mercenary and a descendant of the Spartan king Leonidas I. They inherit his broken spear, which is forged into a blade to become a weapon that grants the player special abilities in combat. The game uses a skill tree system that allows the player to unlock new abilities. The three skill trees include "hunter", which improves player character's archery, "warrior" which puts emphasis on combat, and "assassin" which focuses on stealth. This replaces the system used in Origins, which granted the player a series of passive abilities.

The Crew 2 is an open world racing video game developed by Ivory Tower and published by Ubisoft for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the sequel to 2014's The Crew. It features a persistent open world environment for free-roaming across a total recreation of the United States. The game allows players to control a variety of vehicles including cars, motorcycles, boats, and airplanes. The game will be released on June 29, 2018. Before the game launches, there was an open beta.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an action role-playing video game developed and published by CD Projekt Red. It is scheduled to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and Xbox One on 10 December 2020, and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in 2021. The story takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe. Players assume the first-person perspective of a customizable mercenary known as V, who can acquire skills in hacking and machinery with options for melee and ranged combat.

Cyberpunk 2077 is played in a first-person perspective as V, a mercenary whose voice, face, hairstyles, body type and modifications, background, and clothing are customizable. Stat categories—Body, Intelligence, Reflexes, Technical, and Cool—are influenced by the character classes that players assume, which are NetRunner (hacking), Techie (machinery), and Solo (combat). V must consult a "ripperdoc" to upgrade and purchase cyberware implants; black markets offer military-grade abilities. The rarity of any given equipment is shown by a coloured tier system. The game can be completed without killing anyone, with non-lethal options for weapons and cyberware.

Night City is an American megacity in the Free State of North California, controlled by corporations and unassailed by the laws of both country and state. It sees conflict from rampant gang wars and its ruling entities contending for dominance. The city is reliant on robotics for everyday aspects like waste collection, maintenance, and public transportation.

Call of Duty: WWII is a first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It is the fourteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series and the first one to be set primarily during World War II since Call of Duty: World at War in 2008. The game is set in European theatre of the war. The campaign is centered around a squad in the 1st Infantry Division, and follows their battles in the Western Front, while the multiplayer expands on different fronts not seen in the campaign.

In the single-player campaign, players primarily play as two soldiers of the 16th Infantry Regiment: Private Ronald "Red" Daniels (Brett Zimmerman) and his best friend, Jewish American, Private First Class Robert Zussman (Jonathan Tucker). Additional playable characters include Rousseau (Bella Dayne), a female Maquis leader of the French Forces of the Interior, and Major Arthur Crowley (David Alpay), a British Special Operations Executive officer. Marie's brother, Klaus, has taken part in the research of Barbarossa's treasure, working with Doctor Peter Straub (Udo Kier). The Quarry is a survival horror interactive drama video game played from a third-person perspective. In the game, the player assumes control of nine different teenagers who must survive a night at the Hackett's Quarry. The player must make different decisions, which can change the character development, the plot, and the relationships between different characters. Due to the game's branching storyline, it has many endings, and at the end of a playthrough, players will be given different collectible cards that depict the fate of each character.

The game also features a Movie mode, which disables certain gameplay elements such as button mashing, quick-time events, and aiming and shooting, allowing players to progress in the game with minimum input.
