This video is about how to deal with loneliness, and how to stop feeling lonely. If you would like to know how to cope with loneliness, you first have to understand what is causing your loneliness. In any moment that you are dealing with loneliness, what is going on in that moment? The only thing happening is thoughts telling stories about how much better life would be if you had a friend or lover. When you are distracted from those thoughts, there is no loneliness. Loneliness is not created by being alone. If it was, then every person would always feel lonely when they are alone.

In order to understand to stop feeling lonely, you have to really understand what causes loneliness. The answer for, how to deal with loneliness, is to discover that being with others (friends or lovers) can't make you happy because it can't get rid of the thoughts in your head. When you see that being with others can't make you happy, then that means this moment isn't insufficient in any way. That eliminates the loneliness and sense of lack.

Do you want to live with peace and happiness? Have you been trying positive thinking in order to make you happy? Positive thinking is certainly more enjoyable than negative thinking. But, the idea that something is "positive" is just a concept. The concept of positive can't exist without the concept of negative. Therefore, as long as you think one thing is positive, then you will think that the opposite is negative. Positive thinking perpetuates and strengthens your idea that many characteristics, appearances, events, and actions can be positive or negative, bad or good. Any tactic that re-enforces the idea that many things are bad just perpetuates suffering. Positive thinking can give pleasurable moments but positive thinking also creates judgments, insecurity, lack, and anxiety. Rather than engage in positive thinking to make you happy, try discovering what is true.

If someone did something and you didn’t know about it (couldn’t think about it), then you wouldn’t feel it. After someone committed an action, in any moment that you don’t think about it, you don’t feel anger.

First, you have to recognize that your anger is created by your thoughts, and stop blaming your anger on others, and events.
